About the Course
The duration of the CCC course is about 80 Hours from which the theory period is of 25 hours, tutorials are for 5 hours and practical session is for 50 hours.
The ministry conducts the course every month of the year. Talking about the age, there is nothing mentioned about minimum or maximum age limit of the candidate.
However, there is an eligibility criterion to be able to enrol in the course. The candidate must have passed the 12th examination from any recognized Board of India.
To enrol in the course, you should fill the form available on NIELIT official website. Please be aware that the information entered by you is correct as it cannot be edited afterwards.
The examination fee is around 500 rupees including taxes. You should be aware that this fee is non refundable under any circumstances.
You must also know that the enrolment procedure and fee payment is an online process and there is no need to submit any hardcopies of the documents in the NIELIT centres.
The best part of the examination is that there is only one paper that you will have to attempt in order to get the certification. To be able to pass the exam you need to score minimum 50% of the total marks.
There are total 100 questions in the paper with each question carrying 1 mark and there is no negative marking in the paper. The candidate will gave to attempt these 100 questions in 90 minutes.
The examination centre is chosen by the candidate only but if the centre is occupied then NIELIT can allot any nearby centre to the candidate according to the circumstances.
The institute has not yet specified any limit on number of attempts for a single candidate. This means that even if you failed in the current attempt, you can re apply for the exam in the next examination cycle.
There are mainly three different modes through which the candidates can appear for the exam and can get the CCC certification. They are:
The candidates who are sponsored by NIELIT approved institutes that have the nod for conducting this examination. Such candidates can attempt the exam irrespective of any educational qualifications.
The candidates who are sponsored by Government affiliate schools and colleges and have a unique NIELIT ID number. Such candidates can appear irrespective of any education qualifications.
The last are the direct applicants who do not fall in the above two categories, they are also eligible irrespective of their educational qualifications.
The result of the examination is declared on the official website of NIELIT. Normally the result gets declared after 15 to 20 days of the examination.
The result is represented in Grades. Person with 50-54% is in ‘D’ grade. 55-64% is in ‘C’ grade. 65-74% is in ‘B’ grade. 75-84% is in ‘A’ grade and 85% or above gets ‘S’ grade. People with <50% marks are declared as ‘Fail’.
Once you pass the examination, the certificate is issued by NIELIT itself. With effect from 2014, the institute started issuing digitally signed certificates to the qualified candidates and you can download your certificate from their official website.
You should keep in mind that NIELIT does not entertain any corrections in the final certificates. This is the reason they have clearly mentioned to fill all the details very carefully and double checking them during registration.
